FlyBoard Extreme Emotion in Ibiza
Flyboard Extreme Emotion in Ibiza
If you are a lover of extreme emotions, Ibiza will offer you some experiences full of adrenaline. Over the past few years, it has been possible to experience Flyboard in several areas on the island.
Feeling the sensation of floating in the air thanks to water propulsion will offer you one of the most exiting emotions that you could ever test without putting your body into any risk.
This activity is totally safe. What is Flyboard?
It was invented in 2012 by Frenchman Franky Zapata. The concept is simple: an hovercraft table attached to your feet with two powerful water jets that allow you to propel on top of water,
submerge in it and perform any kind of jump and flip depending on the ability you acquire time by time.
The propulsion system works due to a tube of about 20 mt connected to a craft (normally to a jet-ski) that acts as a propulsion engine. In order to gain stability and control the water pressure,
there is a trigger that you adjust manually, and wireless connected to the craft. There is a competitive method in which professionals perform acrobatics in the air.
How does a Flyboard operate?
The propulsion system is like the one of a jet-ski. It collects water from the bow and through a turbine expels it from the stern at a very high pressure.
In a Flyboard the outgoing of the water is connected to a tube that channels all the pressure to the table and separates in two the flow of the water that is pushed downwards.
Must I have experience to try this activity?
No experience is needed and it’s easier than what it seems. An expert trainer will give you instructions and assure you that the experience will be performed in full safety,
checking the power and strength of the water.
No specific strength is needed, this activity is mostly a madder of balance. Your only task is to maintain the control of your body and keep your balance from the beginning.
From this point you can then start moving yourself and flip. You will be wearing a life jacket, a float and a helmet.
Is it necessary to make a reservation?
Obviously! It is suggested to book in advance and choose the time and area you prefer. There are several companies that offer this activity, but often have their calendars fully booked.
If you have any question or doubt you can ask us from Ibiza Villa and we will be glad to help you out and manage your reservation.
