Santa Gertrudis de Fruitera
The first among the nicest spots to visit in the island of Ibiza that we want to suggest is Santa Gertrudis de Fruitera.
It’s a small village located in the inland of Ibiza, it has a “strategic” position because it’s an intersection between the nearby small towns of Sant Miguel, Sant Llorenç, Sant Mateu and last Eivissa.
Typical small rural village, surrounded by nature, it’s a very calm area and perfect for those people looking for relax. The village develops around a central plaza that includes several cafeterias, restaurants, and shops.
A place to visit is the famous “Bar Costa”, one of the oldest meeting points of the island, which still offers refreshments to its visitors.
But not only that, because in this lovely place takes place one of the most beautiful art galleries of the island, rich in painting by local artists from different times.
San Rafael
Let’s follow with another little town in the inland of Ibiza that can bring pleasant surprises. It’s a typical Balearic village that develops around a church which is also the best viewpoint of the area.
You can enjoy a breathless view and see the whole island with one only sight. The view from San Rafael is one of the most beautiful in Ibiza, perfect to admire the sunset.
But San Rafael is not only a place to enjoy the nice views and peace, but also the ideal place where you can taste the real Ibizan cuisine and go shopping in the traditional artisan workshops of ceramics and leather, unique in their style.
There is space also for the “clubbers” that can have fun with the most attended parties on the island, and most of the time also the nicest ones. It’s here where Amnesia and Privilege are located.

Sant Miquel de Balansat
Lastly, another village located in the inland of Ibiza is Sant Miquel de Balansat.
Like the other small towns, from Sant Miquel you can admire a marvelous sunset and a take a breathless view of the island.
Furthermore, it’s one of the oldest towns on the island and richest in history. In the past centuries it experiences different dominations (Vikings, Byzantines, etc.) and always has been considered a real “hub” of the Mediterranean, a bit like what happened in the past for Sicily in Italy.
In Sant Miquel you can find several restaurants and cafeterias that serve typical dishes of the Ibizan cuisine and the unmissable tapas, either with meat or fish.
To not miss is the weekly market, where you can find unique pieces of art, sculptures, paintings and much more.
